The Healthcare Policy Elective (led by Reece Fenning, MS2, and Sami Dwabe, MS2) are very excited to announce that this Tuesday, Oct. 11, from 5:30-7 p.m. in Tamkin Hall they will host a DEBATE between local representatives from the Democratic and Republican National Parties on Healthcare Platforms! They will have Dr. Bill Honigman from the Democratic Party and Dr. Nikan Khatibi from the Republican Party. Both are coming to speak about our candidates’ positions on healthcare in the upcoming 2016 election. We are incredibly fortunate to have Dr. Honigman and Dr. Khatibi speaking at UC Irvine and anyone is welcome to attend.
Secondly, they will have Dr. Richard Kelly speaking on the Affordable Care Act on Thursday, Oct. 13, from Noon-1 p.m. in Tamkin Hall. Dr. Kelly is an associate clinical professor at the health policy research institute at UC Irvine and the faculty advisor for the Healthcare Policy Elective. Dr. Kelly is very polished and knowledgeable about the ACA, and everyone is encouraged to attend this session as well.
