iPads in Medical Education
The iMedEd Initiative has been a 1:1 iPad program since the first launch of the iPad in 2010. The iPad has served as a catalyst for change and a culture for exploring opportunities for innovation in medical education.
Ultrasound Education
Students experience a longitudinal four-year ultrasound curriculum from the start of medical school. UCI has been a pioneer since launching the ultrasound curriculum in 2010. In 2019, the 1:1 ultrasound program was added.
Medical Education Building Renovation
To stay ahead of advancing modalities and innovative technologies for teaching, the School of Medicine prioritized major renovations of the Medical Education Building which began in September 2022.
ZotBot
When the first wave of the COVID-19 pandemic arrived in Spring 2020, there were numerous barriers that prevented our medical students from directly providing patient care for these patients. We knew that clinical experience with COVID-19 would be necessary for these future physicians…enter the ZotBot!
