The commencement for the UC Irvine School of Medicine Class of 2017 will held on Saturday, June 3 in Aldrich Park. The ceremony will begin at 9:30 a.m. The commencement speaker will be Dr. Lucy Kalanithi, MD, FACP.

Mobile Technologies in Medical Education

Ken Masters et al. have recently published an update to the AMEE Guide to e-Learning in medical education. The new guide, “Mobile technologies in medical education: AMEE Guide No. 105”, addresses the evolving space of e-Learning with a specific focus on conceptual frameworks and practical examples of using mobile technologies in medical education. Through the iMedEd Initiative, UC Irvine School of Medicine continues to be an Apple Distinguished 1:1 iPad program. This guide may help in re-exploring our curriculum to find potential uses for the mobile devices provided to each medical student.
