Teach Anywhere Spotlight: Resources for Online Clinical Teaching and Learning

In light of current social distancing efforts and institutional transitions to online teaching due to COVID-19, technology tools have become critical in plans to maintain academic and operational continuity. The Association of American Medical Colleges (AAMC) has been leading efforts to centralize resources from medical schools for medical schools to help in the move to online/virtual instruction, especially in the challenging clinical space. These collections include:

MedEdPORTAL Virtual Learning Resources during COVID-19

  • This is a collection of peer-reviewed teaching resources for distance (synchronous and asynchronous) and self-directed learning.
  • Resources cover both clinical and preclinical content areas.
  • Resources are free to download and free for adaptation to local settings.

iCollaborative Clinical Teaching and Learning Experiences without Physical Patient Contact

  • This is a non-peer-reviewed collection focused on clinical teaching opportunities that do not involve direct patient contact.
  • Resources can be searched by ACGME competencies and learner audience (e.g. GME or UME).
  • Resources are free to download and free for adaptation to local settings.
