Examsoft
Great news, we received the keys to our Examsoft instance this week! Examsoft is a system that supports creation, administration, scoring and analysis of assessments/exams. Having Examsoft at the School of Medicine will enable us many opportunities including the following:
- To maintain robust question banks
- To securely administer exams on the iPad (as well as other devices) and limit our dependency on Scantrons
- To analyze and improve the quality of our assessments
- To track assessments in relation to competencies and objectives to support our accreditation/compliance efforts.
Our team is just beginning the administrative setup for Examsoft, but should be ready soon for courses to submit questions for onboarding into the system. We will keep you posted on this!
Also, as a part of our move to Examsoft, we are upgrading the wireless connections in the Tamkin and Nelson Auditoriums this summer to provide the bandwidth needed to administer exams on the iPads beginning this Fall.
Workshop Reminder: An Introduction to the Canvas and Ilios Integration

EEE Workshop: Canvas Pilot Demonstration of Features on July 17, 2015
OIT’s EEE group at UC Irvine (main campus) is conducting a workshop to help faculty learn more about Canvas as a part of the larger scale Canvas Pilot they have been conducting since the Spring quarter. Here is an upcoming workshop that you may be interested in attending:
