Sign-Up for the Med iBookJam Sept. 15-28

On Sept. 15, 2015 at 5 p.m. in the Telemedicine Theater (basement of Medical Education Building, Irvine), we will kick-off for our second Med iBookJam, a competition where teams of faculty and students create multitouch digital books on topics in medical education, patient education and healthcare. If you are interested in participating, please sign-up so that we can help match students with faculty and create teams of those with mutual interests. “Introduction to the Operating Room” by Dr. Jill Endres and team (see preview below) was one of the 12 iBooks produced during our first Med iBookJam in April 2015. This iBook was integrated into the curriculum for the Clinical Foundations III course for all MS3 students. We are excited to see more iBooks like this produced this September.

iBooks Author Workshops

This workshop will provide you an introduction to Apple’s iBooks Author tool that enables you to create iBooks.

Reporting Grades: ExamSoft to Canvas Workshops

This workshop will provide you an overview of importing grades from ExamSoft into the Canvas Gradebook as well as other Gradebook management features.

The Division of Instructional Technologies strives to offer the highest quality of support for the academic endeavors of our students and faculty. To sign-up for the Med iBookJam, complete this simple Sign-up form. In order to accommodate everyone’s request we ask that requests are submitted TWO WEEKS in advance. We will try and accommodate requests made on shorter notice. Please note that some of our services have an associated service fee. Those are indicated in the form and can be recharged to the Division of Instructional Technologies.
