The 4th Annual Med AppJam has Kicked-Off

The Med AppJam is a two-week long interprofessional competition where students from the Donald Bren School of Information and Computer Science (ICS) and the School of Medicine (SOM) along with students from other disciplines come together to create a fully functional and mobile healthcare application on the iOS Platform. Apps are judged on various criteria and the top teams are awarded prizes and recognition.

The kick-off on Tuesday, November 3rd marked the launch of our fourth Med AppJam in collaboration with ICS. This year, the UC Irvine’s Program in Nursing Science has joined us in hosting the event. 105 participants (including 25 medical students and 4 nursing students) assigned to 19 teams are now actively working to design and develop their iOS apps until the awards ceremony on November 16th.

Please join us for the Judging Event and Awards Ceremony:

November 16, 2015 from 2:30-4:30 PM at the UC Irvine Student Center (Irvine campus), Emerald Bay BCDE

You can follow the progress of the teams during the competition through their daily blog posts: http://www.medappjam.com/
