AAMC Curriculum Dashboard Resource

Continuous quality improvement (CQI) initiatives are necessary both to the medical school curriculum and to maintaining accreditation. Curriculum dashboards are an effective and efficient way to support CQI efforts and identify opportunities to improve a medical education program. However, understanding what data to include in a dashboard, how to manage that data and the types of tools that can be used to develop one can be challenging.

The Undergraduate Medical Education (UGME) section of the Group on Educational Affairs (GEA) at the Association of American Medical Colleges (AAMC) recently created a resource to help provide some insights into how to set up a curriculum dashboard and develop a systematic way of analyzing curricula and associated outcomes.
