We have a new name: Division of Educational Technology

On October 1, 2015, Dr. Warren Wiechmann assumed a joint appointment as Associate Dean for Clinical Science Education and Educational Technology. Dr. Wiechmann was previously the Associate Dean for the Division of Instructional Technologies which oversaw implementation and integration of technology for the Office of Medical Education including curricular and learning management systems. To coincide with this new appointment, our group has also been renamed to the Division of Educational Technology in recognition of the increasing overlap between educational needs and curricular assessment with the technology and faculty/student support we provide. We will also continue to refer to our efforts as “iMedEd” (Innovation in Medical Education).
