On March 1, 2019, the AAMC announced that MedEdPORTAL, the Journal of Teaching and Learning Resources, is officially indexed by MEDLINE beginning with Volume 14 (2018). Publications in MedEdPORTAL are high-quality, peer-reviewed, complete teaching or learning modules. MEDLINE indexing now enables broad sharing and dissemination of these educational resources which are searchable through PubMed.

MedEdPORTAL serves as a repository for medical educators seeking educational resources. For example, collections of curated publications on Opioids Education; Interprofessional Education; and Diversity, Inclusion, and Health Equity are available in MedEdPORTAL. MedEdPORTAL also serves as an opportunity for medical educators to publish educational resources they have developed in formats beyond the traditional manuscript.
